Day 1: Fateful encounters

The new day came, the feeling in a new country was strange to me because it was the first time I went abroad. My partners on Line are Ari Awatara Ega and Ciptayani until now. We were very happy because of that, we just talked and went together to the convenience store near the hotel to buy some essential things, we also took some photos together on the go.

After that, we returned to the hotel kitchen, where we in turn shared our country’s fast food. Ari Awatara Ega and Ciptayani cooked Indonesian noodles together for me and vice versa I cooked noodles from Vietnam for them. We enjoyed food with excitement. We discussed about culture of each country, Ari Awatara Ega and Ciptayani told me about culture, relations and beauty in Indonesia and the meaning of the bracelet in their hands. And I also told them about interesting things in Vietnam.

Backstage….

Great, Ms Auchariya and Ms Arisara came, they took us to Don Muang’s restaurant, where we made our own dishes from bread and drinks. It was really a new experience for me.

At lunch, both of them took us to a restaurant in Thailand where we tried Tom Yum, Tom juied and Kao Pad Talay .

“Tom Yung”- a dish famous in Thailand
“Tom juied” It’s soup with vegetables and pork!
“Kao Pad Talay”- It’s a tried rice with seafood and fried egg

For the first time when I enjoyed Thai food, I felt that Thai food is more spicy and sour than Vietnamese food, the food in Vietnam is sweet, but I really like Thai food especially Tom Yum.

At the end of lunch we went to DMM airport to pick up two Filipinos students to go to Lampang. On the way we stopped at a refueling restaurant to continue our exciting journey and we strolled around here.

“Kuay tiew”- Pork soup and meat ball, dean sprouts and noodle

When we loaded up the energy, we got in the car and arrived in Lampang after 9 hours in the car. Both of them lined up for us, the rooms were comfortable and nice. All of us stayed on the same floor.
