Day 8-12: Practice makes perfect

On August 26th, I will teach the first lesson in both 5/1 and 5/2 classes. The name of the lesson is the relationship between fractions, fractions, and percentages. Today’s feeling is hard to describe, I’m excited and very worried. I am excited because this is my main goal when deciding to join Sea-Teacher, I want to challenge myself, learn, accumulate pedagogical experience. I am worried because this is the first lesson at Anuban Lampang, I have to apply new teaching software, new methods and I still do not fully understand the ability of each student, …

The first lesson in class 5/1 really worried me, but thanks to the help of Mr. Marco and the cooperation of the students, I was able to complete my lesson. Through this lesson, I was able to learn from my experience: the method of teaching, I had to give abstract knowledge in the simplest way so that students could easily understand, how to divide group appropriately and use the instructions more fluently. Thanks to the experience gained from class 5/1, I was able to easily complete my lesson in class 5/2.

From the two classes today I feel that I have to try and try more for my career, for me young people need to study, accumulate and break through.

On August 27th, I continued the journey to gain experience.  I practice calculating skills for both classes. The students were very enthusiastic and learned very well. This has been a great day for me

On August 28th, I didn’t have a schedule for today, so I spent the morning preparing lessons and blogging. In the afternoon, I helped my mentor make and decorate computer program signs.

In the evening the students of the school pick us up to eat and shop at the nearby shopping center. This time I enjoyed new dishes like Khao Kluk Ka Pi and Pad Thai, Som Tum and Tom Yung again. The feeling of visiting and shopping here is very interesting, the surrounding layout is very beautiful showing the modernity and elegance when visiting.

On August 29 and August 30, my cumulative journey continued. What’s interesting for me is how to say good morning to 5th graders with teachers.

Heart-shaped means students want to say good morning by hugging the teacher.
An image of the 5-finger hand means that students want to say good morning by clapping their hands to the teacher.
Shaking hands means students want to say good morning by shaking hands with a teacher.
Holding hands means that students want to say good morning by touching the teacher like a picture

After my lesson, me and my mentor teacher, Mr. Marco, took lots of photos together.

It was great of me completing the lesson plan next week and sending it to Mr Marco-my mentor teacher.

In the evening, I go out to eat and buy some necessities at the convenience store.
